The 2019 Chevrolet Volt Now Charges Quicker

The 2019 Chevy Volt is back and has improved its charging capabilities for the new model year. Thanks to the new 7.2 kW charging system, you will cut recharging time nearly in half by adding approximately twice the all-electric driving range per hour of charge. Plus, you will have up to 22 miles per hour of charge with the available 240-volt/32-amp charging unit. This is perfect for Winston Salem, NC and High Point, NC drivers who are always on the go.

“With about twice the range added during 240V Level 2 charging sessions, the 2019 Volt’s 7.2 kW system makes opportunity charging more worthwhile,” said Jesse Ortega, chief engineer, Chevrolet Electric Vehicles. “It effectively extends the vehicle’s all-electric driving range, while providing about twice the range for the money when plugging in at public facilities that charge by the hour.”

Aside from charging enhancements, the 2019 Volt offers more features to make their driving experience more enjoyable. For instance, a new digital rearview camera will act as a second pair of eyes, while the new driver-switchable Adaptive Cruise Control gives Greensboro drivers the choice of either conventional cruise control or adaptive cruise control.
